Have you ever wondered how the zebra got its stripes? How genetic fingerpringting works? How big space is? Could nuclear fusion (rather than nuclear fisson) be the key to solving our energy problems? .....

Our Year 10 Triple Scientists will be attending an exciting event called GCSE Science Live, which is currently touring the UK, where they will hear from five of Britain's top scientists, all of whom are currently working at the cutting edge of their specialism.  One of the presenters is Professor Lord Robert Winston, who is a medical doctor, distinguished scientist and a well known television presenter. 

The day is advertised as being fast moving, exciting and thought provoking and will also give the students the opportunity to raise issues with the scientists.  The day will also include 2 short sessions with an experienced science examiner, offering top tips on exam success.

The event is being held at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.  Students will travel by coach from school and be returned back to school at approximately 4 p.m. so students will need to make their own arrangements to get home.  Students should attend in school uniform and bring a packed lunch.
