The annual Crime Conference will be held at Stourbridge Town Hall today. This will provide students with an invaluable experience into career options and further their knowledge of the science of the criminal mind, brain and behaviour.

It is particularly relevant for students wishing to pursue their interest in psychology, sociology, law, forensics, politics and criminology.  Students will need to be at school promptly to enable us to leave at 8.45 a.m. and we will return to school at approximately 4.30 p.m. when students will need to arrange to make their own way home.

The outline of the conference includes:

  • Professionals speaking on their areas of expertise assessing whether it is possible to reduce prisoners re-offending.
  • Life from behind bars involves released prisoners who have served from 4 to 25 years in prison.  Each speaker will talk about their individual expeiences of prison life, their crime and the psychological effects of labelling.
