Team Success
Year 7 athletics Streetly Cluster winners.
On the 7th June we took a group of year 7 students to compete in an athletics meeting at Streetly Sports College. The schools competing were St Francis of Assisi CTC, Aldridge School, Barr Beacon, Joseph Leckie and Streetly Sports College. We had a very successful meeting and managed to come out as winners overall. All of our students were impeccably behaved and when competing they all put in 100% effort. There were a number of notable individual performances with the following students winning their individual events; Edward Clifford Hill 100m and Long jump, Sean Hanlon 400m, Edward Clifford Hill, Kyle Montague, Sean Hanlon, Phil Winters 4 x 100m, Edward Clifford Hill, Sean Hanlon, Aierron Askey, Kyle Montague 4X100, Siobhan Berryman 100m, Alice Broadwent 200m, Emma O’Hanlon 400m. The success of the students has been a reflection of the hard work of both the students themselves and the PE staff. We look forward to more success in the Walsall Schools athletics championships in July.
