The SEND Department is a team comprising specialist teachers, HLTAs, Learning Support Practitioners, Learning Support assistants and SEND/Safeguarding Administrator, led by our acting SENCo.
Our aim is to support students to access the curriculum, fulfil their potential and become self-motivated independent learners despite any learning differences. We also provide support and advice to colleagues across the school on any SEND issues including Dyslexia Friendly practice. The School has an additionally resourced provision (ARP) for students with dyslexia. This provides specialist 1-1 or small group support. The highly qualified staff deliver personalised literacy programmes using a wide range of multisensory strategies and resources.
