  • Then choose the class you wish to enter the data for.

SISRA

SISRA Analytics is a web-based platform that we use for analysing pupil data across KS4 and KS5. It delivers comprehensive reports on student performance, attainment and assessment results, providing valuable insights into educational data.

CPOMS

CPOMs is the safeguarding and wellbeing platform we use at SFA. We ask all staff to log incidents as they occur and they can be picked up by the right members of staff to be dealt with.

You will be sent a CPOMs login from our DDSL; Rebecca Malli.

Setting Cover Work

We aim to ensure all students always receive a quality-first education here at SFA, taught by subject experts.  However, at times, due to absence, this may not always be possible.  When cover work is required, and a cover teacher present, it is important to note that we have the same expectations of behaviour for learning in the classroom.  Silence remains golden and very much the norm and seating plans adhered to.  Learning must also be productive.  With this in mind, we ask the staff follow the below steps.

Expectations for known cover (absence that is known in advance):

  • The absent teacher sets cover by 7.30am of the day of absence at the latest.
  • Cover work and detailed instructions are placed electronically in the cover work folder on the staff hub in a folder labelled with their staff code. Best practice, cover work includes a recording to support the lesson.
  • Paper copies of relevant teaching resources are labelled and left on the teacher’s desk.
  • The cover work must mirror the first-taught curriculum, use knowledge workbooks, follow the phases of learning and include answers to all tasks students are expected to complete to support covering teacher. This includes form time (HALS).
  • Absent teacher must complete the instructions proforma for all lessons that require cover that day, including form time.

Expectations for unknown cover (absence that is not known in advance of the same day):

  • Absent teacher must call the absence line and inform line manager of absence before 7.30am.
  • HODS/HALS must check SIMS School Bulletin’s daily.
  • HODS/HALS to check to see if cover work has been set by absent teacher, if not, they will be required to set it. If HODS/HALS are also absent then the SLT link will be required to organise it.
  • The types of cover work may include the below variations;

1. Same as known cover

2. Revision of prior or current learning with knowledge and consolidation exercises to cover the whole lesson

  • All work set must include answers to all tasks to support covering teacher
  • All cover must have the instruction sheet attached.
  • Cover work and detailed instructions are placed electronically in the cover work folder on the staff hub in a folder labelled with their staff code, ideally by 8.45am.

General Expectations:

  • Seating plans are up to date on Classcharts.
  • Ensure SEND resources have been personalised according to need (coloured paper, larger font etc).
  • The cover team will always provide feedback following the covered lesson.

Parents Evening System

At SFA there is one parent’s evening per year group, and we use an online system. Parents make their own appointments with each teacher through an online booking system, and then on the evening they get a 5-minute video call. The system is very robust and sticks to the exact timings of appointments. This ensures staff finish on time and gives the flexibility of executing the evening from home.

Reprographics & Other Jot Forms

At SFA we want our teachers to be able to focus on teaching so we have streamlined any requests you may have into Jot Forms. We have them for Reprographics, Data Recovery, Absence, CPD Training, IT Support, Site Support and Trips.

We only ask that you fill them in with as much detail as possible and with as much notice as possible. They will then be sent to the correct department to be dealt with.

These forms are all found on the Staff Hub:
